PCDC enjoys an excellent working relationship with the organizations that represent community economic development, in addition to the financial community. This includes the Small Business Administration, the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development, and the Philadelphia Commerce Department. In addition closely collaborates the Small Business Development Centers at Temple University and the University of Pennsylvania; twelve economic development organizations; four chambers of Commerce, twenty five community based business associations and nine major banks. PCDC staff works closely with lawyers, accountants, and insurance professionals to create opportunities for the business community and citizens of Philadelphia. These relationships are complemented with our ties with the growing information technology community within the Philadelphia region.

The mission of the Philadelphia Commercial Development Corporation is to revitalize neighborhoods and to assist small businesses through financing, business development services, and advocacy.
Our vision involves focusing PCDC’s efforts towards promoting entrepreneurial development, increasing employment, and improving the economy and quality of life in Philadelphia’s neighborhoods. PCDC opens doors to economic advancement by building partnerships and fostering viable development projects and enterprises.
