To successfully pursue its mission, PCDC believes that the provision of direct financial assistance to the small business community is of paramount importance in stimulating economic development activities within the City of Philadelphia In this regard, PCDC’s Lending Department functions as a partnership for small business growth, with the principal partners being PCDC, the entrepreneur, and other public and private financing sources.
Small Business Lending: SBSC
The City/Federal/Private-Sector partnership is a true “ONE STOP SHOP” concept that will provide entrepreneurs with all the tools necessary to start, sustain or expand their business. This modern, “STATE OF THE ART” facility consists of 30 service-partners organizations that will address the financial and technical needs of small businesses. The Center’s Technical Resource Library will offer hands-on resources for the development of products and services. The technical tools available at the Center will enhance the entrepreneurs ability to perform market research, draft a functional business plan, access to capital, obtain procurement opportunities, attend seminars and much more.
